How to Make Sugar Rock Candy
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 tablespoons Royal icing
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- a pinch of cream of tartar
- Put the cream of tartar, sugar, and water in a saucepan. Stir. Heat until the mixture reaches 300°.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Royal icing and vanilla.
- Pour mixture into a pan. Break candy into pieces once it cools.
