How to Make Strawberry Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons mashed strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • pinch of cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cream of tartar, and water in a sauce pan. Over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook to 246 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Stir the mashed strawberries and lemon juice into the mixture. Allow mixture to stand for ten minutes. Beat with a fork until mixture is creamy and firm.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased pan and let stand half an hour. Cut into squares.
