How to Make Strawberry Fudge
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons mashed strawberries
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- pinch of cream of tartar
Instructions
- Combine sugar, cream of tartar, and water in a sauce pan. Over medium heat, stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook to 246 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
- Stir the mashed strawberries and lemon juice into the mixture. Allow mixture to stand for ten minutes. Beat with a fork until mixture is creamy and firm.
- Pour mixture into a greased pan and let stand half an hour. Cut into squares.
