How to Make Maple Caramels

Ingredients

  • 2 cups maple sugar
  • a pinch of cream of tartar
  • 1 cup golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon fondant

Instructions

  1. Add the cream, cream of tartar, golded syrup, and maple sugar to a saucepan. Heat until the mixture reaches 250°. Stir constantly.
  2. Remove saucepan from heat and let cool for 5 minuets. Add vanilla extract and fondant. Stir.
  3. Grease a pan and pour the mixture into it. Let candy cool, then cut into squares.
