How to Make Maple Caramels
Ingredients
- 2 cups maple sugar
- a pinch of cream of tartar
- 1 cup golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cream
- 1 tablespoon fondant
Instructions
- Add the cream, cream of tartar, golded syrup, and maple sugar to a saucepan. Heat until the mixture reaches 250°. Stir constantly.
- Remove saucepan from heat and let cool for 5 minuets. Add vanilla extract and fondant. Stir.
- Grease a pan and pour the mixture into it. Let candy cool, then cut into squares.
