How to Make Lemon Drops
Ingredients
- juice and rind (grated) from 1 lemon
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- candied lemon peel, chopped
- 1 egg white
Instructions
- Add the water and sugar to a saucepan. Heat until the mixture reaches 240°.
- Add the lemon rind and juice, and the egg to the saucepan. Stir until the mixture thickens.
- Form small spoonfuls of the mixture into balls. Roll the balls in the candied lemon peel.
