How to Make Lemon Drops
Ingredients
- 5 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons lemon extract
- 2 drops yellow food coloring
Instructions
- In a heavy saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil over medium heat. Add cream of tartar; boil to 305 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat. Add lemon extract and food coloring; stir until well blended. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper or into molds. Allow to cool and harden.
