How to Make Kris Kringle Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • a pinch of cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter, condensed milk, molasses, and sugar in a saucepan until the mixture is dissolved. Add the cream of tartar and continue heating mixture until it reaches 260°.
  2. Add the nuts and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased pan and let cool. Cut into squares.
