How to Make Ice Cream Candy

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract

Instructions

  1. Add the cream of tartar, sugar, vinegar, and water to a saucepan. Heat mixture to 290°. Add lemon extract.
  2. Pour mixture onto a greased surface. Let cool enough to handle, then pull candy until it is white and glossy. Cut into sticks.
