How to Make Honey Nougat

Ingredients

  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup hot water
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups nuts of your choice

Instructions

  1. In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, boil sugar, water and honey until mixture reaches 270 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Remove from heat. Add the beaten egg white and blend in briskly with a fork. Add nuts and beat mixture until it thickens.
  3. Pour mixture into a greased pan. Allow to cool and cut into squares.
