How to Make English Toffee
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons weak vinegar
- 1 cup nuts
- Heat butter, sugar and vinegar over medium heat. Cook until the mixture reaches 300-310 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
- Spread nuts evenly in a greased pan and pour mixture over them.
- Let cool, then cut into squares.
