How to Make Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 squares of chocolate, shaved
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Nuts, if desired

Instructions

  1. Pour shaved chocolate over 1/4 cup of the milk in a heavy saucepan. Over medium heat, stir constantly until chocolate is melted. Add the remaining milk. Stir until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat. Add granulated sugar, butter and corn syrup. Place back on heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Slowly boil until mixture reaches 240 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into a greased pan. Allow to cool and then cut into squares.
