How to Make Chocolate Taffy
Ingredients
- 6 cups white sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 heaping teaspoons butter
- 6 tablespoons grated chocolate
Instructions
- In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Blend well; stir constantly until temperature reaches 260 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat. Pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet. Allow to cool. Pull a portion of the candy until it loses its gloss and becomes stiff. Cut into 1-inch strips. Repeat steps until all candy is cut.
