How to Make Chocolate Taffy

Ingredients

  • 6 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 heaping teaspoons butter
  • 6 tablespoons grated chocolate

Instructions

  1. In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Blend well; stir constantly until temperature reaches 260 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Remove from heat. Pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet. Allow to cool. Pull a portion of the candy until it loses its gloss and becomes stiff. Cut into 1-inch strips. Repeat steps until all candy is cut.
