How to Make Candied Apples
Ingredients
- 6-8 apples
- a candy apple stick for each apple
- a pinch of cream of tartar
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 cup cream
Instructions
- Put each apple on a candy apple stick.
- Add the sugar and water to a saucepan. Heat until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in butter, cream, cream of tartar, and vinegar. Heat until the mixture reaches 290°. Stir continously.
- Dip each apple into the syrup. Place on a greased surface to cool.
