How to Make Butter Caramels
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture reaches 240 degrees F on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat; stir in vanilla until well blended. Pour into a greased pan. Allow to cool; cut into squares.
