How to Make Acid Drop Candy

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 oz. tartaric acid

Instructions

  1. Put the sugar, vinegar, and water in a saucepan. Heat to 300°. Remove from heat.
  2. Add lemon extract and acid. Stir well.
  3. When the mixture has nearly cooled, cut into small drops. Wrap each drop in wax paper.

Acid drops are also known as sour balls.
